In any Indian hotel, rava idly is served with different types of chutneys and parupu podi. This is one of the popular tiffen items that is served as part of Indian food.

Heat oil and add mustard seeds. When the seeds start to pop, add ginger, green chilies, chana daal and fry for sometime. Switch off the heat and immediately add sooji, mix well.

Add salt, soda, carrot, cashew, coriander leaves, coconut, yogurt/curd and mix well. Leave it for around 30mins.

Grease the idli stand with ghee.Put the mixture on top. Steam for around 10-12 mins.
Serve hot by coating the idlies with ghee.

You can also make this by using MTR rava idly mix, but preparing from scratch gives you the satisfaction, doesn't it?

Sangeeth this method is also very easy. The other one did not have soda and this one has. I'll try this one also. Thank you for the recipe.
