Kara Boondhi - A quick and easy snack

Vinayaka chaturthi is on its way and most of us will be busy deciding on the menu. Snacks and sweets are the best part of this festival. Kara Boondhi is a very easy and quick to prepare snack.





Ingredients:
1 cup gram flour/besan flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
1/4 cup of fried cashews and ground nut
few curry leaves
Oil for frying

Boondhi maker (Vessel used to make boondi) also called Jalli karandi in tamil.

Method:

Make the dough by adding water with all the above ingredients excepting curry leaves and nuts.

The dough must be semi solid.

Now Heat the oil and place the boondhi karandi (Vessel) on top of it and pour the dough as shown in the picture.



Deep fry the boondhi till it become light brown in colour.

In a mixing bowl, add this boondhi, fried curry leaves and nuts and toss it.

Kara boondhi is ready!

It is such a simple snack.
